How long is the Delivery Time?

Hello all,

I have a scheduled delivery time at 2:30pm on an upcoming ED trip. This is on a weekday and I would like to drop off the car on the same day at the Munich Airport. The drop off location is open until 4pm only. Do you think I will have time to drive up to Munich Airport from Welt by 4pm?

Thanks.

Is there any reason why you need to drop it off the same day? Are you just flying into Munich, pick up the car, and drop it off? If you're able to get in earlier, why not change your pick up time to an earlier slot. I mean the delivery will take some time. If you don't even care about the delivery experience you could rush it. Even then you would be rushing through everything. I'm not sure what your plans are but that's not really going to give you a chance to experience Euro Delivery.

I had to shorten my European trip due to fact my gf need to return home earlier than expected due to work. We fly in on 5/1 (welt closed due to holiday) and will be leaving on 5/2 for Paris four 5 nights. I don't want to drive to Paris due to all the feedbacks from board members. Hence, I need to drop off the car on the same day as pick up.

thank you for your feedback.

You may be able to reschedule to an earlier delivery. Also, you can skip part of the presentation to expedite things.

It would be a little tight. The drive to the airport is about 30 minutes. Like someone else said, skip the demo and you are out pretty quickly. On both my EDs they moved the delivery time earlier once we checked in. I would call the ED office and see if you can get an earlier time.

You can also pay the 50-70 euros and not even drive the car.

If you are around that morning and can take am earlier delivery, call now and ask.

ask for earlier delivery now. If they decline, ask again at the Welt. If they decline, pay for the car to be shipped to the drop off site. Another alternative is to drop it off the next morning in Stuttgart, except it would be Saturday in your case. Enjoy!

Even 15 minutes earlier would help. Keep the Loginoff number handy so if you are in a rush, ask the Welt to call them and say you are on the way while you rush to the airport. It's also possible that you will leave the Welt at 3:05 and arrive at the dropoff site at 3:35. See the map to save time. It is just beyond the airport McDonalds drive in and by the Kempinski hotel.

From loginout but you have to make a reservation with them first. I'm doing an 8am dropoff on a Saturday for 50 Euro.

We provide off hour drop off as well.

Only you know if 8 am would be inconvenient or acceptable. If you have delivery at 2:30, you can thoroughly enjoy it but can let the delivery specialist know that you have to be at the airport drop off before they close.

Many people think the driving simulator and nearby displays are not that good. Do enjoy the last step, which is walking down to the turnstile, get pictures taken, and hear what the delivery specialist has to say as far as pointing things out.

My delivery time was in the late afternoon. I checked in soon after they opened and they had me sign all the paperwork. That's step one. They then asked if I wanted to move the delivery sooner. Since I wanted to shop around downtown, a delivery time was scheduled for early afternoon.

Upon returning, the delivery process with the delivery specialist was two steps, the floor with the driving simulator and the floor with the turnstiles and cars. With the driving simulator, I just purposely tried to skid off the road. It's just a screen. The bench you sit on doesn't move. The demonstration is to show that traction control helps you keep better control of the car. That part is worth hurrying a little.

At the end, you will be fine. Just plan ahead as far as which road you'll take. You can study Google Maps online and see it's fairly simple.

Oh, the way they schedule times are funny. The delivery time is the time they expect you will be walking down the grand staircase to the cars. They plan on 30 minutes after that.

Quick ED with payment?

Can someone point me to where I can learn more about that shortened ED pick up? I will be having to fly in and fly out the same day and while I want to get the full experience and the new car, I'll settle for just the car if I have to.

=> You can also pay the 50-70 euros and not even drive the car. <=

They allow about 30 minutes for signing of legal documents and explaining things like turn right on red is forbidden. They can't rush that. I think about 30 minutes is set aside for a presentation, along with a simulator. This can be cut to about five minutes. They set aside 30 minutes for walking down the grand staircase, having pictures taken and developed, and presenting your car. Enjoy this time. You can then drive away. If you don't want to drive away, they will ship the car to the dropoff site for a fee. The exact fee depends on if they drive the car or transport it by flat bed truck. Sometimes, people opt for this of they have summer tires and it is snowing.

Therefore, the shortest time is probably 40 min. without the photographer taking your photo, 55 minutes with the photographer.
