Hey guys income taxes are coming up here soon so im looking for some help on finding some lowering springs or coilovers. Any suggestions and prices are greatly appreciated.
I know i cant ask for perfection for cheap but id like some decently priced suggestions please as i have a bit more work needing to go into my car.
most coilover kits are good. in a country like yours where you dont have to certify your vehicle after installing them, i highly recommend them. very easy to get that perfect look (too high? drop it etc) rather than having to buy a different set of springs and see what happens.
i cant really speak for brand experience, but as for type, get some decent ones. the type that stiffens the spring as you shorten the strut is NOT the type you want. usually those ones are like $300 for a set, steer clear of those. you want ones that have individually adjustable spring rate and height etc. typically these will also come with adjustable shocks as well standard.
also, as far as i know, none offers a bolt in kit for the E30, so you will have to buget for that too. ground control may offer one though now. been so long since i was in the market for E30 coil overs these days so cant remember!

GC has always offered a bolt on kit. you just need to send them a set of used strut housings. they will modify them for you. even places like TC who sell $2000+ coilover kits require strut housings from you to be modified.
Not a huge fan my self but my friend installed some raceland ultimos and the ride very nice. Another friend has much more expensive coilovers about 1000 more and no ride/handling difference. I would of course buy GC but I would look at it as a good option for someone on a budget. Can't get any worse then the rokkor's on my mk1. Horrible, part of the reason I sold it. Will never but a rokkor coilover set.
Even a good spring setup could be very beneficial. Ebach or H&R with some BS sports or Koni's.
