What LED bulb are you using? They look good. I have tried different bulbs and the outter ring doesn't look bright, only the inner one is bright. Looks like they don't have enough power or light is not strong enough to pass through the outter ring.

I ordered them from Germany, forget the name of the company. I removed them because they weren't bright enough during the day and I did get "light out" error codes. I still have them sitting around if you want them dispute these issues.

I have PIAA's, they get rid of the yellow but they're more white than blue. At night they almost look like stock bulbs but without the yellow.

I have 10k HID bulb and FOG, trying to find something is little blueish. But very hard. Its hard to judge the color also when we take pic. It looks differently from digital pic then in real person.

I see someone post this but not sure how good they are

Yes it is very difficult to judge color of lights from photos. I narrowed it down to hoen xenonmatch and the Phillips diamond vision 5000k bulbs. I chose Phillips as they are a very reputable manufacturer of bulbs and I don't want any issues. The rest of the lights seem too purple, which makes sense since once you get above 5000k you get hues of purple.

At that wattage (4W)- you would be lucky to see them turned on in daylight...

Spoonzauto refunded my money and said that they were in touch with Mtec for the correct bulb but I have not heard back from them. I have been busy taking my son's E46 trim out to send to Wu Wraps. I will revisit this when it is finished. Hate the yellow BMW angels.

Good thing I didn't order it! Almost did. Saw the MTECs on eBay for $199 directly from MTEC. I went with the Phillips diamond vision 5000k

I just ended up ordering a set from umnitza. I'll post pictures once it ones in.

See how they are in daylight- at 5W each they are very low. It says you need an extra set of resistors on the page you linked...

Even with extra resistors the corona rings will look dim during the day. The corona rings on pre-LCI f01 headlamps can't out the light properly when you insert anything other than a 35w h8 bulb because they weren't designed for LED bulbs. Therefore there is nothing available on the market when it comes to LED bulbs or even bulbs that will give you LED look you find on the f10/f01 LCI.

The only thing I've seen come close to the LED look is installing HID bulbs but even with HID bulbs but you're asking for trouble because HID bulbs will damage your corona rings due to the heat and you'll most likely have to replace the entire headlamp assembly.
