Smile Coding DEFAULT DRIVING MODE to ECO PRO - Figured it out!

After fiddling with all the coding I really wanted my i3 to start up in ECO PRO mode. Everywhere I searched on this forum, FB user group, an google came up with no actual instructions on how to Code for this. CodeMyCar didn't list it either. After about 30 minutes of looking around in Esys I was able to find it and make it work!!

BDC_BODY / CAFD EDIT FDL /
3221 PfFesMaster
FesInitMode
Ausgelesen
Werte=??
03 = Comfort
07 = Eco Pro
08 = Eco Pro +

Rightclick Werte, select edit, change value at bottom, click on Apply Icon at far right

Go back and Code FDL

You'll now see that ECO PRO light is on when you start the car

When you edit for 07, are you clicking apply all the way on the far right, then hitting the back arrow top left and then CODE FDL?

Warranty risk?

Does altering these settings pose any risk to one's BMW warranties?

I stopped using Eco Pro mode quite a while ago. It's so annoying! The "gas" pedal feels stiff and resistant, and there not much the mode does that you can't do yourself while in Comfort mode. I always felt constrained driving in Eco Pro mode and just realized that the mileage difference wasn't substantial if I took matters into my own hands. Comfort mode is really SO MUCH MORE enjoyable!

If one has the will to achieve best range, you can approach that while in comfort mode...the ECO modes just force you to have some of those characteristics by reducing the gain on the accelerator and minimizing the HVAC system's operations.

It Can be codded by E-Sys...

in my 116d Eff. Dyn. when starting the car, always and by default de ECO PRO driving mode was enable... at the moment, after coding the right option, starting the car, by default are selected Confort Mode.

Can always select ECO PRO by the button next to the gear stick....

Module: ICM
Option: 3000 (Daten)
Value: IcmKod_B_InitEco
Select Option: verbaut
Alt. Option: nicht_verbaut (Enables always starting the car in Eco Pro mode)

(after coding this, may appear in dashboard some error message saying Pressure Failure and DTC Failure, just finish the coding and switch of and on ignition. All good)
