BMW i3 I01 (2014 - Current)

i3 Charge time not in synch with i3 Remote App

I noticed the i3 Remote App is showing a status of charging but the current electric range is significantly less than what is reported directly in the i3. On the i3 Remote App, the status shows charging with a current Electric range of 21 miles and it will take approximately 11 hrs to "fill up". When I head over to the i3 directly and remove the charging cable, and hop inside the i3 to see what it is reporting, the gauge shows a status of charging with a current electric range of 62 miles and it will take 5 hrs for a "fill up". Lastly I reconnected the trickle charger back to the i3 and the results shows an electric mile at 62 and a consistent 5 hours for fill up. When i relaunch the I3 remote app, the values have changed. It is showing 27% charged with a 22 electric miles available.

Has anybody seen this odd behavior result?

I've not figured out exactly what triggers an update from the car to the app, but it does not seem to happen all that often and needs to be triggered by something. SO, your observation that the car and the app are not always coincident is true. The app does indicate when the last update was, so if it's not close to the current time, that's one reason why it's different when you look in the car.
