Engine oil

Dear members,

My name is Elkhan, I am from Baku, Azerbaijan.

I have 2014 BMW X5 xdirve50i. The current mileage is 14000 km. I very much worry about the engine oil, which local dealer uses for my car.

They use M TwinPower Turbo 10W-60 oil (https://www.ecstuning.com/b-genuine-...r/83212365944/) which I read that is suitable for only M vehicles.

Could you please advice what BMW factory advices to use for my car, and what you are personally using?

Many thanks in advance.

Regards,_a_

Isn't there a small sticker in the engine compartment with info on the required oil?

Surely there's a manual in your glovebox...

My theory is that your engine is going to be fine with that oil.

I show the recommended oil for that in the US as 0w-30 01FE BMW long life rated. That being said, the US always recommends lighter oils for economy purposes.
