Do I need to disconnect battery to unplug roof switch?

Probably a dumb question, but I'll ask anyway. I am replacing a brushed aluminum console trim with one in better condition. The car is a 2007 328i convertible with a roof switch in the console. I haven't taken the piece out yet, but I imagine the switch is a plug in once I get the trim piece disconnected.
I wondered if I have to disconnect the battery before disconnecting the roof switch. I've replaced seats in an E36 and know you need to disconnect the battery so the air bags don't go off. I have no knowledge about unplugging the roof switch on the E93, hence the question. I don't need air bags firing just because I'm changing a piece of trim. If I don't need to disconnect the battery, that's one less thing to have to fiddle with.
Thanks for any help.
