Inclusion of msport standard on 340i is a pretty big deal.

Yeah, BMW seems really behind on these details this year for whatever reason.

BMW didn't include it in the 3 Series section but it is at the bottom. Of course.

Big deal for sure. I wonder if the base MSRP is going up to compensate.

Does the sport package imply that sport line is not standard on the 330i like it is on the LCI 328i? Also, does the sport package include the sport suspension, unlike today, where you have to get msport or track package to upgrade the suspension?

No more 328 "standard sedan?"

If this pricing is complete, it looks like the 320i is the only non diesel basic model. There is no 328 or 328xi, just a 328d.

If this is accurate I concur with the "marketing" decision. Why would you buy a 328 over a 320 other than wanting more power. If so, you have the choices of the 330 and the 340i.

Save $800! (ZMP was $2600 for 2016)

BMW should have gone ahead with the M340i with 335hp instead of just M Sport standard for 2017. Then with a 340i with 320hp when Sports Package selected.

Good question. I'd like to know this as well.

Is this only on 2017 BMW 3 Series xDrive Gran Turismo? Look like it as far as the origin post layout goes.

However, if I follow this correctly, you couldn't get a M340 with Xdrive...meaning you are stuck with Xdrive only on the 340i? I like M-sport on my Xdrive.... even if it is cosmetic

There is an M235 xDrive so an M340i xDrive would not be a first...

I know likely no one knows for certain, with the default for the 340 being M package does that mean we can finally choose different colors? I would live it in a mineral white with the m config.

So I look at both 2017 and 2016 build guide and the language looks the same.

ZMP requires ordering 300, 475, A75, A83, B39 or B45

However, now that ZMP is standard for 340i, not sure if you 'd be forced to pick sport/luxury package if you want color other than those. I would guess you can't have B45 Estoril Blue with non-MSport but maybe not the other way around this year.

475 Black Sapphire Metallic
A75 Melbourne Red Metallic
A83 Glacier Silver Metallic
A89 Imperial Blue Metallic
A96 Mineral White Metallic
B39 Mineral Grey Metallic
B65 Jatoba Brown Metallic
C08 Platinum Silver Metallic
C10 Mediterranean Blue metallic

Thanks, lets hope they don't require you to be limited on colors now that it is the "standard" configuration.
