Hood venting for actual practical use?!!

I think I hear some honda owner crying in the distance.....

Haha. I did the same thing with my E46. Had hood vents for the supercharger and intake. It's really damn nice to have the vents for these reasons.

ESS swears that the best intake for their supercharger system is the stock box. I can't find any threads on people running an AFE, ECIS, or other intake with the ESS system.

My buddy with that zippy Mini Cooper S put an intake on his car and hasn't had any issues. Then again, that supercharger came on the car from the factory. I will say that his supercharger whine has increased ten-fold, though. And it's frickin' awesome.

Just got it back from Johnny; we took advantage of the aftermarket warranty to get a ton of work done on it before the warranty runs out at the end of January. Runs great! Needs a tiny bit of cosmetic work and some sunny weather so we can run it with the top down.

I'll have to find an excuse to bring it out to your neighborhood some sunny day! I have to say, though (at the risk of thread hijacking) that I find my E46 more enjoyable to drive. The 650 is big, powerful, luxurious and indulgent--especially with the top down--but the 330 is more responsive and connected.

Couldn't agree with you more. The E46 has always been one of the most fun BMW's I've ever driven.

The E30 is pretty sweet, too. It's a much more raw, go-cart-ish feel, making it quite a blast to drive.

Then again, mine had an S52...

I've never had a chance to try an E30 or an E36. Would love to try both.

The E36 M3 is a blast to drive also. I Just like the E46 more because it's more refined. Yet not TO much to where your like wtf is this. Like when you get in a new F82 M car.. you get in and go "wtf is this ****"
