i coded the puddle lights to come on when in reverse thinking it would create a bit more visibility when pulling out of parking spaces and the like. i did not consider that it ended up helping out tremendously for top-view reverse camera at night when you cannot see much of anything along the sides.

now with the puddle lights illuminating the top view cameras can pick up very well for great visibility.

Yes it takes a little love to bolt up but slides right over existing bumper

did a DIY project - installed a three coil wireless charger where the OEM goes but this is better as this is 250 bucks less, can be added post order of build, works with all size phones, leaves storage capability, and a lot cleaner looking.

That's pretty neat, did you start with an already built wireless charger?

Good job man! You never cease to amaze with your mods. Definitely hitting you up once I get me ride. The wait is killing me. I already got the coding cable, tow hook plate bracket, CF Grille and the CF Mirrors are on their way on the slow boat from CN. Already got a quote for clear paint protection and contemplating CF or Black roof wrap.

I just found out from a local pro coder today, that VIM only work until 65km/h on the new navagation professional.

Can anyone that coded their LCI F3X for VIM please chime in?

yes that is the limitation for most coders. there are about four in the world that have figured out how to get video in motion at unlimited speed so it's a closely guarded secret for the time being. you want to contact Okee at codemycar.com (codemycar@gmail.com) and tell him marcos sent you and he will hook you up.

he can activate miracast/mirror screening from your phone and do video in motion at any speed for you but the latter must be done in person. the good thing is Okee travels around doing the coding so he may have a trip scheduled near you in the future. he was in california this past week, for example. he is out of new jersey.

g'luck!

I just ordered a PLX 2016 DM-200 OBDII Gauge. It has been used on BMWs. Finally a solid solution for the bimmer! Not as OEM+ as PF03 on my NMS Passat TDI. But definitely better than a Wifi OBD2 dongle and phone setup. The only downside I found from searching is radio interference, when listening to the radio in the car. No issues for me, as I listen to Spotify from my phone or XM.

PLX 2016 DM-200:

interesting! how do you plan on mounting? do you prefer this to the more OEM-looking OBDII vent-mounted solutions? i don't have any experience with the PLX products.

I plan to mount it on the steering column like an analog boost gauge, or on the dash beside the A pillar. The only reason the don't like the vent mount ones is that It eliminates one of MY vents. If there was a vent mount with PLX kind of screen on the centre vent for the passenger, I would be all over it. The P3 one lets you use half the vent but I can't stand how simple it looks plus its one reading at a time. Looks like it belongs on a car that's 10+ years old. The Awron gauge is super expensive and again kills one of MY vents.

little bit of custom trim work. didn't like the hexagon aluminum trim with matte blue and wanted piano black with matte blue. but piano black only available with matte red finisher. so got a proper set and painted the matte red to matte blue to match my estoril blue exterior and m performance calipers. this is before a nice buff.

all the door pull handles are swapped to the piano black too.

Looking good man! My '17 did not even come with an option for belt line color. I will take my alum hex trim off and paint a red beltline strip to match my seats and theme.
