Gorgeous car! Love that Black Sapphire paint job. I'd get rid of the chrome badging just to make it more mysterious looking. I don't know about the front kidneys. Unless the blacks matched exactly, they could look pretty bad. I don't even know if the carbon fiber kidneys would look good or not. I'd be leery about changing those out. It just looks really good the way it is.

Great ride! Picked ours up last month. Similar but we got the DHP. Black on black with matching black high gloss roof rails. Black front grilles as well. Doesnt match exactly but we love it. Enjoy!

Really loving the ride and look of this car. Not quite the feel I had when brought E46 M3 ZCP home but it's pretty close.

The black grills look fine. There are other black sections of the bumper like the lower grills that aren''t body color either. Hadn't considered matching them to the body color, never seen that done on an X5

I just know that different shades of black can often not look very good together, although sometimes they can. Gloss of one shade with matte in another can sometimes work, lighter and darker shades of different blacks can work sometimes, it just all depends. You really have to see it to know, I think. That Black Sapphire is just so rich, other blacks would look pretty dull next to it, I would think. It's all subjective, though. I didn't realize there were other body parts that weren't the same black already on the front end, so that might blend it all well enough not to matter, like you said.

Kind of hard to see them in the shadows, but it seems like you're happy with the way they look, and that's all that matters!

I like it! Adding an M Performance front lip would look amazing on it as well, it'll give it a more aggressive look.

I do want to put the front lip on, my only reservation is the installation.

What is your experience with the windshield tint? Can you see any distortions? How do you like it?

It's a must for me on all the cars I drive. No distortions, helps with glare especially in the rain with sun, and at night. I would definitely recommend going to a reputable place.

What percentage do you usually go with for the windshield?

Oh totally understand, speak to the dealership you bought the car from and get a quote, hopefully they can give you a deal. AFAIK it requires screwing in and double sided tape, if you don't mind the holes and would plan on keeping it then it shouldn't be too much of an issue. I'm planning on doing it soon, totally brings the front end together on the M-sports.

We have a 2016 Grand Cherokee Hemi and a 2016 X5 35i. The 35i puts down even better numbers on paper and also feels better by my butt dyno vs the Hemi. Neither are a slouch and have outrun every vehicle that's wanted to "race." I could only imagine that the 50i is a beast, no doubt. Something like the SRT. Then the M is just a massive monster!!

Now that my 35i has the MPPK it whoops our Hemi but it's probably not quite the 50i, and it definitely doesn't sound like the V8. Can't beat the sound of eight cylinders.
