Smg trans slips in 2,4,6

Hi guys,I'm new to this bimmerfest page hopefully I can get some kind of info on my bmw....i have a 2005 545i that has a smg trans when the car is cold and I take off it works perfect, but once it warms up and I shift to 2 it slips and also does it on 4,6 I can still drive the car on 1,3,5....please any help would be greatly appreciated

I would assume your clutch needs replaced I have an m3 that had similar issues put I new, better clutch in it life is better now.

So yours only worked in first second and fifth also?..........I figured if the clutch was bad it would slip on all gears

Clutch slip with Non-M SMGs is usually caused by leaking clutch actuator (slave cylinder) and sometimes oily clutch as consequential damage.
