Mein Auto: 325i
325i to 335i?

I have a 325i and i want boost but i dont know what to do. I tbought about taking in engine from a 35 and putting it in my 25 but im also on a budget so i was also thinking supercharger.


SUPERCHARER PROS

cheaper
Boost
The whin


TURBO PROS
Twin turbos
Turbo sounds
Bigger engine

I have the know how to do them both i am technician and work on cars, but any fred back would be nice thank you!

Don`t know how familiar you are with BMWs, but to successfully make the move to forced induction (either turbo or SC) will require a budget of at least $10,000.
Is your wallet ready to take a hit like that ?

If you`re serious about a big engine swap, or installing major power adders, you`re gonna have to think about reinforcing the entire 325 first....we`re talking about an entire new cooling system, brakes, chassis reinforcements (you`ve heard of "subframe cracking" on these cars ?)
What kinda trans you gonna run ? Diff ?
No one here (that I know of) has ever performed a 35i engine swap, but, as a general rule, nothing is easy or "plug `n play" with these cars.

Agreed. But, if you want my opinion and assuming this is out of the options list.. Go with the N54 swap. Forget boosting your 325.
