Aftermarket radio won't save memory

Hi I got a soundstream double din installed in my 2011 328i and whenever I turn on the ignition the radio doesn't turn on(I have to manually turn on) and doesn't save any presets. I've had it taken to an audio shop multiple times, where they tried switching the red and yellow wire, and I've had the results

I've noticed that if you turn the radio back on within a short amount of time that it will turn on with the ignition and save the memory but if you leave it off for a couple hours it will reset. Could that have to do with sleep mode ? And can I do anything about it ?

First post should set you up.
Be sure you have a strong battery to .
If the battery is weak and drops below the minamum voltage on start up that can cause it also.
I don't know much about cars, what exactly would I need to buy, and ask the people at the audio shop to do ?

It they can't figure it out go elsewhere .
The first link tells you what to do may be you could have them
read that assuming they can read. Print out the first link and
take it to them there job is not done.
If they know anything about BMW's they should have been able to
figure it out.
There must be someone in the LA area that no's how to install stuff correctly .

A radio needs a constant voltage source to preserve its memory (and run the clock often found in the radio).

A BMW E9n normally turns OFF voltage to almost all demand sources after it is locked, it only keeps voltage supplied to a very few items (such as the module that senses a keyfob's unlock signal, or the CAS fob proximity so it responds to touch unlock)

Your installer failed to connect the radio memory supply line to a constant voltage source in the BMW, they should have known better.
