Aluminum Dark Carbon with Pearl Gloss Chrome highlight and Oyster Dakota

Hi!

Anyone have this combination?

Is the Aluminum Dark Carbon as dark as suggested in the BMW online configurator? There are no any real world pictures?

Thx

It's not remotely as dark as it's shown in the configurator. It's actually almost as light as regular aluminum trim. You will not mistake it for carbon fiber. It's very disappointing. The pics aren't great, but you'll get an idea here: http://www.bmwgallerynorwood.com/new...090530c845.htm

Thx. Dang. Hmmm the choice for trim is very difficult.
I'm may just go aluminum hexagon with black gloss for contrast.

The wood trims are ok.

I'm anxious to see it in person. The pics on the BMW site don't really show it well at all.

I test drove the car that I posted the link to. It's in Massachusetts. I actually ordered the trim but if I decide I can't live with it, I'll consider switching to aftermarket carbon fiber.

The few pic on the internet make it look very light not as dark on the configurator.
I have seen a few dealer pics and I thought it was regular Aluminum hexagonal trim. Given the pearlgloss accent it needs to be moderately dark in my opinion

Yuk don't get any aluminum. Go for wood or gloss black.

Pretty sure OP never asked for your opinion on whether or not to get the interior. Just was looking for anyone with real world photos to get an idea of what it looked like.

But thanks for your meaningful input as always...

imo, it is slightly - but not significantly - darker than Alu Hex. And honestly, it looks just as cheap. There's no depth to the "weave". Like Alu Hex, it looks like a wrap. But for my interior (Golden Brown), I thought it was the best of the standard trims. And rather than pay an extra $1,000 for something like Piano Black, I figured I'd give it a try and if I didn't like it, I'd invest that $1k in what I really want - carbon fiber.

Good luck with your decision. I think it's a tough one.

The problem is the peargloss accent with dark aluminum. There is no contrast.

I guess I'm back to burl walnut or aluminum hex with black accent. I'm not paying a $1000 for piano black trim.

I still believe the nicest trim is the M-perf. in my '15: (prices are MSRP, invoice was %25 less)

M-Perf Carbon and Alcantara $1k
M-Perf Carbon Parking brake $180
M-Perf Carbon Center Console $175
M-Perf Carbon Selector $250

Why? This is open pored carbon fiber with no shine to it at all. Plus, the alcantara in strategically placed spots is a nice touch. When people look in my car, they just say WOW.
