I just finished a 4 wheel brake job on the wife's Z3. No biggie, no surprises. Now, how do I get the brake wear sensor to shut off?? I couldn't get new sensors, out of stock around here. The old ones unplugged from the pads no problem and installed back in new pads.
Strange. It has been a while since I have done mine but I remember removing a sensor and re-installing it. Mine auto shut off. If your brake light is still on I would suggest going to autozone and having them reset system for free.
Turner has them, as does Zeckhausen. And there's always the stealership (shipping will probably cost you more that the difference). BMWCCA discount always comes in handy at the dealership!
You can order the sensors online as low as $10, which I did not to long ago. Most autopart store online orders are around $15. I believe someone on here said to be careful that the front does not interchange with the rear, but the rear can work in the front due to length differences. Good luck.
You can source sensors at Autozone and Advanced Auto.
