So my DDM bumper is in the shop and I talked to the guy today. He asked me for the color code from under the hood of my car. I told him i couldn't get it for him until tomoro because I won't be near the car till tomoro.

He had told me that he was going to color match to the old bumper.

Why would he need the color code on my stock color if he is color matching the bumper.

I just want the bumper to match the color of my car.

Thanks for any imput buds!

its better to have the code though. When they scan it's a good match but it's not perfect, although scanning will take into effect any minor kind of fading

I'd rather have them check the paint that is on the car now with a spectrometer to take into account anything that's happened to the car before you bought it. The best results I've had were with them scanning the paint, not using codes, or doing both to make sure everything's right.

+1 to Amber.

The code tells them what color your car *was* 12 years ago at the assembly line. A scanner will tell them what it is now.
