Wanted a black on black 4-door BMW since I was a kid in the late 80's.
Finally got one.
Not a big deal, but is a big deal to me
335i 2011 Black/black w/ the blacked out chrome trim.
Sport package.
I have been a licensed-expert motorcycle road-racer since I was 17 years old. I am now in my 40's. I know about handling/braking/etc.
This car is phenomenal for a comfortable sedan.
This is my first BMW.....I am sold.....I am hooked for life.....

Congrats...It is pretty rewarding to get to a place where you can buy something you really like that is a bit of an extravagance...Could we get from point A to point B in something less? Certainly; but it's nice when you don't have to.
When I got my 335, it was kind of odd to actually own the car that I would look at when I was car-lusting. It's honestly the best, practical, everyday usable car I would ever buy. I can take kids to school, or skiing, knock out honey-do's (as long as it doesn't involve me buying lumber) and still enjoy the heck out of it.
I would like to also have one of those comfier rides like yours that still handles well. The 335i is stiff and beats me up on bumpy roads but love the power and upgrades I have loaded it with. Wife doesn't want the same brand car for her next car but I keep seeing the new 5 Series BMWs and they look pretty nice!
Congrats. And I too drove sports bikes until my 40's. My 535xi satisfied my need for speed, and my Honda 919 sadly sits hardly used in the garage since.
Yes it is a big deal and it may cost you in the future. I got addicted in 2008 with a 328xi and have since gone on to own a Z4 and now my 335is. Congrats and welcome.
You are right! Within an hour of driving this car, I realized I can never go back to a standard car. I'm figuring I will be driving some type of beemer till I die.
They are awesome.
Yes
Man, I am so so so excited to be driving this car
I am not a handsome man, but have already had a couple gals smile at me at stoplights, haha.
I always like coupes, but I have a irish setter that goes w/ me 24/7 and she gets in my old car/coupe w/ muddy paws, etc....and my old car interior got destroyed :thumbdwn::thumbdwn:
I got the 4-door, so I could line the backseat w/ blankets and make some sort of divider, so I can stick her in the back, and she is stuck back there
I got on of these for the wife last weekend too, she want a simple 328I car but after looking for a while I talked her into stepping up into a M-Sport:
Congrats on the purchase! I was looking for a 335 when I purchased my coupe but had no luck finding what I wanted. Hopefully my next purchase will include a turbo or two.
