I take it that either the E32 7 series cars are either rare or just not popular. I have come across a nice 1989 735i that has a bad engine but the body and interiour are in great shape. It looks like it has aftermarket wheels as well. I was just wondering what other engines bolt into it and plug into the harness. Will a 3.5 from a 535 be the same? Also just wondering what the car would be worth as is and what it would be worth fixed.

thanks everyone.

Thanks for the link. The 735 and 535 shared the same engine for a few years indeed. I am still not sure weather it is a project I want to take on as there is no demand for these larger lux cars around here. Top price I saw for one was around $2000 where the 3 series cars are $3200 and up.

Here is the link to the 735i http://saskatoon.kijiji.ca/c-cars-vehicles-cars-trucks-1989-BMW-7-Series-Sedan-W0QQAdIdZ341093448

Here is a link to a parts car I had in mind http://www.sgi.sk.ca/lcgi/salvage_bid_site/comp_details.cgi?stock_num=S120830&store=Saskatoon

I have a 4 3 series cars right now that I need to fix up and I am not sure I need a 7 Series , however I may still but it and someday fix it or something. As for the parts car I may try to buy it as the engine would go into one of my E21's if I find a manual tranny to put on it.

Let me know your opinions of the 735i though please people.
