Sporadic trunk openner malfunction.

Colleagues,

Rear big motorized door delivers a bit of discomfort to me on 2012 model year GT. It does it in the morning when the temperature is close to water freezing point: if you press any open button for the big trunk, it unlocks from the latch, but instead of going up goes down and locks itself again. You can play with it forever! Looks like the polarity is not switched to open mode for the activating motor and it misbehaves. As soon as the car warms up - it starts working again. It perfectly works when it is -30C desgrees, but ****s up when the air is close to 0C.

It is sporadic so I can't produce it to dealer, but it is annoing

The car is coded to perform opening and close of the trunk from the drivers place, but that does not seem to be the root cause. Do you happen to see the same trunk door behavoir?

Mine does not have the power option, but I did have to have the switches replaced when they stopped working.

Thanks! What were the sypthoms for switches replacement then? Latch not working?

The buttons started to be intermittent until the only way to open the hatch was from the button in the vehicle...for quite awhile, it would not always pull itself closed the last little bit. It's been fine since they replaced the switches.
