What's the amount over invoice? Are you using the rebates as cap cost reduction or drive off? What is rolled into the cap cost? You should ask for $500 - $1k over invoice, buy rate, and $725 inception fee. I know it depends on the local competition. But just to give you an idea, I'm doing an ED my 535i has MSRP of $79,970, at $500 over invoice, inception and doc fees rolled into the cap and taking the rebates at drive off with max MSDs, $0 cap cost reduction...My payment is $866.55. I know it's ED, but if I took delivery here in the States, my payments would be about $100 higher. Looks like you're getting the buy rate with the 7 MSDs that you're quoting. Know all the numbers including the local market to determine if you're getting a good deal...

I looked at ED for a few times and can never pull the trigger. ED come with a price also. The time, plane ticket and hotel cost in Europe to pick up the car. The additional money factor. And the fact that we won't have the car 6-8 weeks when the car is in transit (even thought BMW picked up one monthly payment). So the money payment of ED look very good but depending on how one value the rest of it.. ED may come out ahead or behind a regular transaction.

What is the difference to take rebates as cap reduction vs drive off?

Cap cost reduction (down payment) lowers the monthly payment. While taking it at drive off lowers your total drive off (1st payment, MSDs, registration, cap cost reduction (and taxes), inception (if you don't roll it into the cap). I personally like to take it at drive off...

So if the rebates lowers your drive off below the msd, meaning if a drive off of say 4700 with 3150 of msd, but with the rebates it lowers it to 2800. Does bmwfs return 2800 back or 3150 at the end of the lease?

BMW returns your TOTAL security deposit, minus excess charges. Think of it as your money...My rebates are $3,250, total drive off of $7,751.30, MSD of $6,300.00. I will get $6,300 back, total out of pocket $4,501.30 at drive off.
