hey gary, how would these compare in the dry? looks like the Michelin X-Ice Xi3 has very good dry road handling. currently have wintersport 3Ds, looking for a little more snow/ice grip as im going from AWD to RWD.
The XI3 has good handling in dry compared to the other soft studless compounded tires in its category, but does not match the dry handling or steering response of the Blizzak LM60 (which is in the performance winter tire category). The LM60 is closer to the Dunlop 3D in handling and steering response, while providing more ice and snow traction than the 3D.
thanks gary, i was already thinking of going with the LM60 for my upcoming F30. looks like i'll need to go with a 235/50/17 tire as the LM60 isnt avail in 225/50
