Like many songs, this one has a backstory....
I used to work with a really funny Peurto Rican guy named Juan Cordero....he had that heavy Island accent, and "fock" was probably his favorite word in the English language....it popped up around every three words in any of his conversations.
This song was popular at the time....I took a little artistic license, and re-wrote the lyrics to reflect my own twisted humor, changing it from "One Headlight", to "Juan`s Head Lice", a guy having bug problems. When I was satisfied with the re-write, I made a bunch of copies, and set out the plan with my co-workers (minus Juan, of course). The next morning, at break time, I slipped the Wallflowers CD into the breakroom CD player, and cued up the song..."Hit it, boys" I said, and we all did our best sing-along, belting out the new lyrics....Juan looked stunned...."What da FOCK you guys singing about ?" he demanded. "Tiny little bugs in your head" said Michael, as Juan screamed "I don`t GOT no fockin` bugs in my head, mang !".
We just about pissed ourselves from laughing....
