IMO, I see nothing wrong with posting at both. I see this board more as a sort of Lounge for the regulars (who never got into the Roadfly Lounge). Whenever I feel like helping newbies (whom I hope DO NOT migrate here) I go there. I have no ill will toward Alan and do not wish to actively undermine their board.
I'm just glad to be able to hang out here with you guys.

I help MUCH more often than not. Sometimes the biggest help possible, though, is to point out how flawed their thinking is on a given subject.
There will always be posts there that I will not be able to resist responding to so I will make no promises not to. Plus, there are some good guys there that do not appear willing to migrate.
What is wrong with helping out newbies? I'm fairly new to BMW's and would like a board that I can ask legit questions and know I'm getting good answers. I try to do my part in reading the manuals and figuring things out on my own but there are times when you just need reassurance from those that have been there before. I personally don't like the .org site so I have been hanging out at E46Fanatics instead. I migrated over here due to the good people at E46Fanatics and the fact that it is a UBB setup.

I can understand slamming the idiot type questions from some newbies or definate trolls, but some of us are legitimate new enthusiasts.
I for one have tried to avoid being one of the pain in the a$$ types by reading informative posts, RTFM, and avoiding asking stupid questions.
It is a valuable service that you more experienced owners provide and I would hope that you might recall the time when you were a new owner/enthusiast.
I've learned alot in the 6 weeks since order. Now if only the boat would land (12/27 scheduled to be in NJ) and I could start getting some hands on experience.
