I haven't signed anything. I've been very open about this site. The Service Manager has read some of the posts. The GM has the site as well.

If they gave me what I felt was a great deal, and asked me to keep it hush...I would respect their wishes. I don't have to sign anything to keep my mouth shut regarding all of this.

I think it's great that everyone has gotten to see all that I've been through. I think everyone would be at a loss if they didn't read my story, I've enjoyed reading up on what other people have been through. BF is a great tool for owners and people that are considering purchasing BMW's, and for those who are already owners. I believe that this post has been helpful to some of you and enlightened 'yall on this possible leaking problem in the convertibles. ...I know all of you have helped me tremendously. You words of wisdom and kindness have been great for me!

So far it seems to be! haha! I'm sooooo glad to be done with the convertible. Maybe we'll give it another go for our next vehicle. Who knows.

Congrats Sandy on the new ride! I bet the X5 is quite the joy-ride... Stay away from the shoreline now... we don't wanna test if it's waterproof to salt water.

It didn't come with a Swimming Package. Maybe the next ride.

It's been through the dealerships car wash a few times... no leaking.

Hi Sandy, I was interested in purchasing the x5 for my parents, did you purchase w/out the 3rd row? If you don't mind me asking, since you have a similar configuration as the one I will be looking at over the holidays, what was your final price on it, just to get a ball park? Also, how's the gas mileage? Thanks, also, did you get it from the same dealership that gave you all that grief, or the other one? Have a great holiday

Got it w/o the 3rd row. Seemed like something that'd be 100% useless for me.

MSRP was just under 62K. (next time I'm down at the car I'll scan the sticker thing and post it.)

VERY glad I got the 3.0 I've been driving it really easy... with an average just over 26MPH I'm getting 17MPG. (with about 300miles on the car now) City it's rated @ 15MPG.

Good to know, thanks, I was not going to get the third row for them either. Looking at the ML for them as well, did you test drive that also? Were you able to negotiate to invoice, or is it too in demand? Did you get it from the same *gulp* dealership? Sorry for all the questions, I haven't had time to look into this, I will be doing much more research over Thanksgiving.

They did a "Trade Assist." They paid off the rest of the loan from the 335. Reimbursed us for one months payment. We only ended up paying one month on the 335cic (like 600 and some change.) Got our down payment back.

The refunded us for the warranties, and tinted the front two windows (we had tint on the 335.)

Then we re did everything ... ie re did the loan etc.
