Little help please..
So with an up and coming Va car inspection figured i'd change out my on again off again headlamp..at which i learned i have xenon lights(and forked over $99.99 at local auto parts store)..:mad:2 days later it went out again..upon further inspection I have pic #1***2
SO..do i need to replace the igniter or ballist control unit, or both?:dunno:
i actually cleaned out the unit, smoothed out the plastic and have a working light if needed..but want to fix it the right way
(#3 type of unit)

Thanks for the assistance

The part that connects to the bulb is the igniter. The cable plugs into the ballast inside the headlight assembly. Make sure your replacement igniter is for headlights manufactured by ZKW, not AL.

P.S. - I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but your ZKW headlights have a design defect that drastically reduces light output. Search here for the terms "ZKW bowls" to learn more.
