What's the best way to learn which dealers have a lot of ED experience and are recommended in the San Francisco Bay Area (South Bay preferred)?

I 2nd BMW Concord too for European Delivery. Mark Hugret took care of me. PM if you want more info. I'm not associated with Concord BMW or Mark.

BMW concord (not south bay though), but if you call them and say you are coming from south bay you might get a big discount for driving so far.

I ended up with Mark too. My deal started with someone else who left the dealership during the middle of my deal, so it fell into Mark's lap.

I know you folks can't post your prices cause the mod will simply xxxx them but God I'm dying to know how much over euro invoice you are getting. I don't even bother purchasing a BMW (ED or not) in the Bay Area...seems that dealers still think it is 1999 and the NASDAQ is at 5000. That said, I buy my BMWs from Jim Cupp in Salem, Oregon (DeLon BMW); he is a sponsor on here--give him a chance to earn your business. Heckuva nice man and one of the top ED dealers in the states.

Plus, the drive down I-5 to bring the car home is a blast!!

If any of you feel like it, please PM me how much you are getting over EI for your Bay Area purchased BMWs.

:)

I will 2nd this opinion.

Delon BMW is a great dealer to deal with. I just bought my M5 from delon instead from stealership in the bayarea.

Everything went smoothly. Just an excellent dealership to deal with.

I didn't do the ED thing this time around, but will add a vote for Mark Hugret at BMW Concord. I actually worked with Mark and a guy named Danny Andrade, who has since left the dealership. They were exceptionally accommodating and provided top notch service!

For my 1st ED in 2002 I did it through Cutter Motors in Santa Barbara.

But for my current ED, I worked with Dave Parker at Stevens Creek. He's a nice guy and very experienced with ED.

P.S. Also I got a slightly better deal this time compared to Cutter last time.

Jim Archibald for ED

r111, which dealership does Jim Archibald work at?
Jim works at Sonnen BMW, from Wednesday to Saturday. I just returned from Munich, after flawless ED delivery operation. I bought 2006 X3 from Sonnen and Jim is very knowlegeable and accomodating for my need. Above all, he is an excellent professional. I highly recommend. You will not regret. M3andM3

I used Chris Neal at BMW of Fremont. My transaction went very smoothly. You can give him a shot. His can be competitive on the price too.
I used Chris Neal for my ED, and will definately not recommend using him. He is totally not helpful if anything goes wrong with your ED (my key got lost and we spent 1 week trying to figure out who was responsible for cutting a new key - which the dealership eventually had to), then if your car gets damaged while shipment - he totally ignores u at that point.

I am in the market for another ED car, and am definately NOT going to Chris.

Request for updated ED dealer recs in San Jose area

OK, now I'm getting serious - plan to place an ED order later this month. Does anyone have updated Bay Area dealer/salesperson recs (positive or negative)?

Danny Andrade is the Internet/ED specialist at SFBMW. You can email him with the options, he will send you a spreadsheet with his price. I bought my 550 via ED from him.

Ahhh, that is excellent information! If you are on the west side of the bay, go to Danny at SFBMW. If you are on the east side of the bay, go to Mark and Concord. Both are outstanding people to work with. I have a co-worker dealing with Mark on a non-ED 530 and he has been very impressed so far. (His car is on the a ship right now.)
