Does anyone know if there are any aftermarket bumper guards for the front air dam of the new M package aero-kit. looking for something to protect the lowered nose from parking damage do to those cement barriers.
back up cameras help, but maneuvering back wards into spots in NYC can be a tricky business. The aerokit is on the back as well and may add to the challenge. I am mostly concerned with the bottom scrapping over stuff. I figure the rest is part of good driving.
Ouch. I had the number of the Bumper Medic on speed dial on my 328 Sport due to the low front valance. It scraped anything and everything. Even dips in the road at anything above about 5 MPH. I wanted to put a couple of skids under the nose, making them of stainless steel like skis, so the nose would slide over small bumps, but was advised that would probaby break the mounts. As careful as you can be, expect some nose rash in time. There was a license plate bracket sold that fastened under the bumper rather than screwed to the front that had some sort of skids on it. You might do a search for that on the 'net. Nothing will protect the entire front end though. Even tried the Colgan Bra and the rough stuff tore right through it. Learned that giving everything about 6 inches clearance was very wise and saved many hundreds in repairs. Time and expertise in parking will help. Best of luck and enjoy the ride!
