These recent lease vs. buy, paying cash for a car and so on threads have got me wondering how old everyone is. If you are all in your 30's like me and you can casually pay $50000 cash for a new car that you'll park in the garage of your home which is paid off, then this forum is full of insanely successful young people. Either that or many of you are well into your 50's and 60's and established.
So I'll start

Occupation: Asst. Production Manager/2300 capacity concert venue, Los Angeles, CA.
If there is a thread on this, it must be pretty old because I couldn't find one. I've seen the average age of 3 series driver, but that's not what I'm asking.
Yes, have two paid off less than 3 years old vehicles inside a garage.
Note that having a wife who works and also shares the same financial management philosophy helps a lot. Just my earnings alone, I will need many more years to reach my current financial state. Sometimes 1 + 1 = 3 or more. Sometimes 1 + 1=0. Really depends on your life partner.

THIS. Choosing the right spouse is the most important decision you can make in your professional life AND your financial life. Oh, and your family life too!
71 and retired (FAA) for almost 10 years.
Current garage -
'14 328d - bought last June, paid off
'03 Mercedes 320E - bought new in '03, paid off
'05 F350 Diesel - bought new in '05, paid off
'13 Harley Heritage - bought new in '13, paid off
Far from rich, but out of debt. Life is good. I could never have afforded any of this in my 30's or 40's, so you guys are doing great!
One car only and currently Financing but could of paid in full. Decided to be liquid as possible for more flexibility to buy property or get into other investments to put myself in a better financial position in the future. Plus record low interest rates on loans right now and I have no other debt than the car.
In between luxury cars right now as I just sold my S4 a few months back and had a few BMWs (328 and 335s) before that. 7 deployments overseas are helpful to pay them off. Looking forward to the next adventure.
Age 58. Aerospace Engineer nearing retirement in 2 years max (eligible now). Car paid cash. House paid off. No credit debt whatsoever.
Like SequiMike, I believe you reach an age where the most important thing is debt free.
I'm amazed at the number of young people having BMWs. I would have never thought of it. I drove stripper fords at that age. My first car with electric windows was a 99 Honda CR-V (which I still have as my hauler).
