I think it means camshaft position actuators, the motors that drive the valvetronic, and not the sensors themselves. I maybe wrong!
Try swapping the coil on cylinder 6 and see of the fault moves, that will prove the coil. Stuart Last edited by stuartjohn24; 07-30-2012 at 01:23 PM. |

yea i would say swap coils first
492 sounds lke evap code pointing toward purge solenoid in the engine bay driver side connect to the intake manifold going to a yellowish looking bomb filter change that and 492 goes away .. as far as the smoke test .. did you put it in from the dip stick ? or from the filler neck or from the service port after you took the shrader valve out (reverse thread) |

Thank you Alpina24 & Stuartiohn24 for your help,
i will check and replace coil, The first code said cam position actulator,I took to the dealer said it had a vacuum leak.but i could afford his price to find out were, The car drove good but idle keep going up and down ,never stalled. I did the smoke test throught the filler cap.the smoke chemical was empty so i didnt get much smoke out of machine, but did see a little smoke from back of motor by firewall passenger side, camshaft pulse sensor, dealer also said map sensor, ONCE AGAIN THANK YOU MUSTOBOY |
