Model: 2012 550i
Build Date: Sep 30, 2011
Delivery Date: Oct 17th
Status: NOT WORKING
Did you ever change the tires: Yes
Tires changed by Ind Shop/Dealer: Ind Shop
Tires: Michelin Pilot Super Sport (same size as OEM non RFT)
Air: Normal Air

Hyptohesis: I wonder if the tire shop applied a TPMS rebuild kit when changing the tires. This is not unusual. Alex_C also has changed his tires and he may have encountered the same thing at the tire shop.

I suggest adding question, were tires changed at dealer?

#1,378 ·
No, I have not changed my tires at all!

I have the OEM tires with the original metal stem valves.

Model: 2012 535
Built: 8/25/2011
Status: Not working
Tires: Original RFT
gas: Nitrogen

BTW If anyone in Miami needs coding, I can help.

I know it's the F30 but it's better to have too much than too little info :) (plus, in the end, they're not that different in code)

Your setup is virtually identical to mine except that mine is a 2012 and my tires were installed by an independent shop. I need to have the dealer look at the TPMS. I suspect the independent shop messed with the TPMS.

Guys I think you forgot the TPMS coding info in V3.0.

If you want I can convert it for you.

IS there any way to export all the module, section and function value fields from all the modules into an Excel sheet. Once that is done, we can get it translated and it will make this exercise a lot easier.

Have you guys looked into/found a way to correct/adjust the speed? it drives me nuts that me speed is appx 2mph faster than actual at hwy speeds (which i would figure is why my mpg are typically less than displayed)..

Is it possible to reduce the electronic speed limiter from 155mph to 30mph? This might be useful for instance when I drop the car off for service?

@DreamCar

Hey, I think you need to change this in the PDF file:

F10/F11
X
HU_CIC
3003 TELEFON_TELEMATIK_ONLINE
PIM_DRIVING_TEXT_LENGTH
no_details / up_to_three_lines / one_page / whole_text
up_to_three_lines ???
No Noticeable Effect - NEEDS ADDITIONAL TESTING

THERE IS A NOTICEABLE EFFECT. The effect is that if you select whole_text you can scroll thru the text and email messages while in motion. Otherwise, you can only see 3 lines and are not allowed to scroll unless you are in Park.

Cheers,

Alex.

Hey everyone,

Just wanted to see if you wanted to transition the thread over to the coding forum that the mods were good enough to create for us. You can create threads based on chassis designation so we can discuss F10 specific issues or other chassis generic discussions.

It's super quiet there right now. I figured with conversations about cheatsheet, Speed Limit Information (SLI), TPMS, HUD and the like, it will be easier to track who's having problems and what in individual threads.

If you want to keep the discussion here, I fully understand that and I'll leave it at that. Here's the forum.
