I bought a K+DCAN USB Interface cable to use with NCS Expert for my 2005 BMW 530I. The part that plugs into the car has 16 pins in it. When i went to plug it into my car i realized the part that receives this end of the cable does not have a set up to receive the pins. It is totally different.

Does anyone know if there is an adapter that i need to get for the K+DCan so that it can fit into the code reader interface under the dash?

Thank.s
:dunno:

Yes there is a converter. I just looked to see if I could find one, but I must have tossed it. Google it.

If your 2005 5 series is an E60 chassis, there is no 20 pin round OBDII port.

There's only 1, 16 pin OBDII connector.

Not sure what your asking here. If you bought a serial cable versus USB, then you need a serial RS232 to USB adapter.
