I know this has been covered but I thought I'd ask for current experience. 2012 740xi. 6000 miles. Just hate the noise and harshness of the run flats. What is a good non run flat that board members are using? Thanks.
I will be swapping out to Continental DW's. Their DWS model is also good from what others report. The DWS=Dry Wet Snow. In SoCal I don't need Snow tires and went with DW.
Thanks. The car is in FLA so those would be fine without the snow designation. TireRack is out with no availability date.
I like the looks of your car.
I know I'm not driving an actual 7, but I just put Michelin Pilot Sport A/S plus on my GT. I wanted to go with the Michelin Super Sports (no need for A/S in Houston) but I have the sport option and they don't make the SS in both sizes.
So far I'm really liking the change. Very quite and a (very subjective) grippier feel.
I also bought the pump and slime kit just in case.
Thanks for the inputs. Couldn't get the conti dw's. ended up ordering bstone S-04's. talked to a guy who had them and they seemed to fit the profile. Counting the hours to get the noisy lumpy rf's off.
I know the switch away from run flats is old news but I thought I'd pass on my experience moving to BStone S04's. The run flats had 8K on them. Not used up at all. It is nothing short of shocking how much better the S04's are. 80% less rolling noise. Less clunky. Soooo much smoother.
I'm a hater of the run flats.
