Hi,

I have some scratches on the dark Burl walnut wood trim. What is the best way to Polish / buff out the scratches without damaging the wood trims?

Thanks in advance.

No guarantees, but I've had good luck with a three step process:

(1) Start with Meguiar's Mirror Glaze Cleaner

(2) Then use Meguiar's Plastic Polish

(3) Finish with Plexus Plexiglass Cleaner

This is the plastic equivalent of using Rubbing Compound, Polishing Compound, and Wax on a clear-coat paint scratch.

As with the use of rubbing compounds on clear coats, do not be too aggressive.

"fracture"?

No, this will not work.

Basoically this works by removing material next to the scratch until the scratch is gone. If you have a crack you would grind all the way through..... so a super deel scratch of a crack will require replacement.
