Diffuser not so sweet.

What do you guys think. You know that feeling of seeing something that you try to tell yourself you like?? Give it a few months it will grow on you......yea right....NOT happening.

That's I how feel about the diffuser on any color but grey and black. Looks chopped, unfinished, overbearing. And where the hell are those pretty black tipped exhausts hiding.

shake, I disagree with you. I think it looks great

I agree with greenie. Furthermore, I actually think it looks better on the lighter colored cars because of the contrast and how more noticeable it is.

Granted, they could've done a better job on it but I still think it looks good and 100x better than the standard rear bumper IMO

I would consider going in another direction. What about carbon-wrapping it in a silver-tone? Would match perfectly with your wheels.

I'd paint it Imola and be a happy man

Good comments ...... it's not so much that I don't like the diffuser. For me on Imola, it is the color or contrast that creates a the unfinished look. The darker colors it's there really isn't so much of a striking difference.

I'm about 90% sure the diffuser is going to be painted Imola in 2 weeks. But I do like the comments so please keep them coming.

For me it's not so much the the diffuser, it's the black, tucked in exhaust tips. As much as I like the M sport Pkg, the longer chrome tips on the regular 650 are much nicer IMO. Wish they could be swapped out.

I TOTALLY agree on the diffuser being polarizing. I personally don't care for them and they are now all the rage for many manufacturers. Not sure why a designer would like to emphasize the a$$hole of the car?

I agree they look OK on some colors (white / black for me). I also agree that I don't care for it on Imola and that's one of the main reasons I picked Vermillion. I never thought to paint it Imola? That may be worth a try. Your car looks great even with the diffuser. I'd take one in a minute. Funny how we tend to focus on the stuff that bugs us? Looking forward to how it all turns out. Don't make it look too good painted Imola, or I may regret getting Vermillion LOL!

I don't think that it's the Imola giving it an unfinished look. It is because I don't think they are even black. To me the diffuser looks like a dark charcoal gray. At last it does against my Carbon Black.

I agree. The diffuser is weak and needs to drop down more with a more aggressive look. Def needs to be changed. I feel the same way about my M6 diffuser in the center and will get the vorsteiner diffuser when its released.

I like it on your car Shake. I'd be interested in it, BUT would want to see it on a white coupe (besides mine) before I would do it.

My 650i is going to my dealer tomorrow for Imola paint on the Diffuser.

Can't wait to get her back and see the finished product.

I am very curious as well. Love to know if the BMW paint shop could also chrome those black exhaust tips..............

you may be able to get that portion wrapped in imola covering before fully painting,....theres no coming back if it doesn't look good,.. unless you get a new bumper
