Hi guys, I plan on adding a JL Audio 10W6v2-D4 to my 2016 428i GC and would like your opinions. Here is my list that I plan on purchasing:

1. JL Audio 10W6v2-D4 http://www.amazon.com/10W6v3-D4-Audi...A1OQ0HQZ5A5YEQ
2. AudioControl LC2I http://www.amazon.com/AudioControl-2.../dp/B004CTBYGE
3. Alpine PDX-M6 http://www.amazon.com/Alpine-PDX-M6-...lpine+mono+amp
4. Technic's harness

Will this be sufficient enough to install the JL sub? Would I need anything else? Btw, I have the Hi Fi system on my 428I GC. I plan on leaving the speakers stock for now but that may change soon. Thanks!!

Just thought of something. If I decide to upgrade my speakers in the future but add the sub now, would it be more cost effective if I went for a 6 channel amp instead of the 2 channel Alpine amp? I'd probably go with the JL Audio XD600/6v2. Would this amp be sufficient to drive my stock speakers and a JL 10w6? Thanks!

Well I'm sticking to my old plan and will just add a single JL Audio 10w6 sub in a custom fiberglass enclosure made by Bimmerpost member Titan 3. I also plan on using the Alpine PDX-M6 (mono 600 watt amp) on it and use a custom harness provided by Technic. He stated I did not need to use the Audiocontrol unit so I'll save a bit there. Any flaws with this system?

Your OEM HiFi system will be overwhelmed by the sub. You may like it or just not.

Yeah, I'll probably turn the gains down real low until I can decide on the speaker upgrade. Thanks Tech!

My little project worked out perfectly! I bought the harness off technic and a sub enclosure off of Bimmerpost member Titan 3 and it looks and sounds unreal. Titan 3 walked me through all the steps and I couldn't have done it without him. Here are a few pics of the final install. I will post a write up in the near future. Tell me if this doesn't look like it came from the BMW factory!!
