Hit a damn fat ass racoon this morning at 50MPH. Dash lit up to check fog lights. Pulled over to look, fog light is gone, lower bumper is cracked and smashed, splash gaurds are fck'd

If I go to dealer, do they do any body work in-house or are they going to send it to the same shops in the area I would find myself?

Thanks.

Hi,

I've never heard of or seen a BMW dealer that has full paint and respray facilities on site here in the UK, nor anywhere else via the forums etc. There's probably some that do of course, but the general convention is that work is given to local approved bodywork specialists. I have a few friends who own bodyshops and whenever I pop to see them, I'll see the usual assortment of 'usual' cars and one of the places I know, are Porsche approved so there's lots of 911's scattered around. He'll also do lots of Ferrari's Lamborghini's and other higher end exotica as well!

Going the independent route if the damage isn't too bad can also be the better option as well !

Cheers, Dennis!
