So I hopped in my car this morning and got the 'loss of power' warning. Drove it on the freeway (good thing I had the day off) and dropped it off at the dealer. Didn't notice any loss in power. Anyway, got a 328i loaner but they didn't get my car back to me today, so I won't know until tomorrow - hopefully. Let y'all know more when I do.

Wait, you have a 550 and got the loss of power warning? I thought that error was reserved for the twin turbo engine?

Well, that, and there was no "engine malfunction". The engine is performing exactly as it was designed to do if fuel pressure drops - it reduces power output to keep you on your way. I drove for hundreds of miles and days with it before taking it in when my pump "went". No big deal.

This should be posted in the F10 section but I too am interested in this development.
