Drivability? Engine still smooth? Any hits in the MPG?
I have been looking myself but until I saw this, there is basically nothing out there. There is another plug and play, forget the brand. Someone had posted it on the board not that long ago.
Drivability, very much more enjoyable to drive. Engine is smooth and strong. Been running the heck out of it and still getting 23miles to the gallon in town. I think mileage will be better then it was before. Hard to keep your foot out of it.
Thanks for posting. I've been waiting on the package and didn't know it was out.
Where did you find the 10% off coupon?
Is this the package you installed?
I had a coupon from a while back. If you get with Jason in parts, he might give you the discount. The stage 1 is the only upgrade that Dinan will have out until summer for the X3. From what I have found out, they are working on exhaust and intake manifold. It is taking time for the X3 because they need to get someone to let them use a X3 for testing other mods.
Again use Jason for service writer and Dave for the mechanic!

Here's a video of my X3 28i RaceChip vs X3 28i Dinan vs X3 35i stock but K&N Drop-in
I am setting 4 and highest is 6 or 7 depending on engine tolerance.
 Definitely get Dinan since it has warranty but only covers your 4yr original warranty so if your 2012 only has 2yrs left, then thats what Dinan will also cover.
What does racing apples and oranges mean? It was fun to compare our vehicles with and without tunes. And this video proves the Dinan on X3 28i is very very nice but for more than half less of the price RaceChip is able to beat the Dinan and match the 35i even with 1-2 ft of advantage (still think I can beat the 35i with 3 more settings to go up higher).
F15 X5 35i (300hp)
F25 X3 35i (300hp) my goal was to match him
F25 X3 28i (240hp) w/ RaceChip (up to 296/310)
F25 X3 28i (240hp) w/ Dinan stage 1 (309/330)
F25 X3 28i (240hp) stock
F25 X3 35i (300hp) stock
First week RaceChip in stock setting the X3 35i was still leading, medium setting 35i was only leading by 2-ft from start then it would excel by a greater distance.
2nd week Now at low higher setting it is side by side with even 1-2 feet ahead 0-60. Have 3 more 1.5% increments to test.
Those were the matches.. Of course your X3 35i w/ Dinan will win against all of us now X3 35i will definitely beat the dinan.
RC 35i: Maximum is 389HP / 378 Torque + up to 5 MPG improvement
Both numbers are crank not wheels, so performance will vary depending on weather, octane, etc.
Check this out @Delnari did Dynos with BMS Stage1, Dinan and returned both .. He got the aFe scorcher right after & stood with it on his M235i. He is going to get RC now
All the X3's have M-Sport pkg, the Dinan X3 28i stands out (carbon black) with the custom M Colors from the X6 M performance racing stripes, tow hook license plate. That's my buddy from DC's X3.
X3 28i RaceChip was actually the winner of most, the previous week X3 35i won I had the RaceChip at a lower setting equivalent to Dinan.
X3 35i was side by side with my X3 28i RaceChip.
We switched cars, I drove the X3 28i Dinan, X3 35i driver drove mine, Dinan drove X3 35i in the last part but X3 35i (Dinan driver) had a bad launch.
I checked and the Dinan upgrade for my 35i is about $2100 installed by BMW dealer. I keep the factory warranty and gain 60 HP and 94 ft/lbs of torque. I'm scheduling the install for this spring. 360 HP and 394 ft/lbs of torque means I can keep an X3M on the back burner when it comes out.
