Collision Avoidance Quit Working After System Update

I have a 2014 i3 Rex. In December the dealer installed an energy management system update and since that time the collision avoidance has quit working properly - the car will no longer stop itself if a stationary object is in front of the car. Dealer and factory reps have no idea what to do to correct the problem. Had to go through customer relations to even get someone from the factory to come look at it. The dealer's loaner i3 Rex has the same issue - as does a 2017 in the showroom for sale.

I know that the collission avoidance system was working as I always tested it in my driveway once every two months - just to make sure that it WAS working - and for two years it was working..

Anyone else having this issue? Thxs.

Has no one else had this issue? You guys better do a simulated test in your driveways! I used two 20 gallon rubbermaid trash cans sitting side by side and drove down the drive petty fast - my i3 used to stop itself - now it DOES NOT stop itself nor give a visual or audible warning!

Probably not an issue, but you're sure that you don't have it turned off? The manual tells how to do that. Some things get reset when the software is updated and need to be turned back on again.

It is and has been turned on according to the onboard computer, but the system is not working during in-town driving conditions. During the system update performed by the dealership in December 2016 this feature was disabled even though the computer says that it is operating..
