M Performance Exhaust - Improper Install
I had my dealership install MPPK and MPE on my 2014 335i earlier this month. Post install, one of the exhaust tips was about half inch longer than the other when you looked at it from the back of the car - this made one of the exhausts look bigger than the other. I also noticed that on shifts while on full throttle or hard acceleration, there was a vibration under the car along with the burble.
I went back to the dealer and asked them to fix the exhaust tip and take a look under the car if the exhaust was properly installed - sure enough, they found that the exhaust has a "manufacturing issue" and they replaced it with a new exhaust.
The tips are properly aligned now, but how can I verify if the clamp was properly installed? How can I tell a proper install from a improper one?
I certainly notice that the vibration from under the car is reduced and does not make a gassy noise with the burble now. Still need to break in the new exhaust though.
