It is superb.

But even better is the Jaguar XE. It is the same transmission, but tuned to be more aggressive. It is spectacularly well-suited to sporty driving, much better in this sense than the tuning of the F30.

An amazing transmission.

The 320i/328i 6MT is not as easy to operate as the old M54 5MT.

1. The N20 power band is flat, versus M54 surging power band. That makes a difference in vibration and audio cues to shift.

2. The N20 turbo requires spooling, so throttle blip is needed(and those are tricky to master). The LCI auto rev match seems to alleviate that.

3. The 320i/328i 6MT has direct at 4th, and 1st is a bit tall, no? The gear ratios are meant for fuel efficiency versus acceleration. The 328i 6MT does have 3.91 final drive to compensate. In comparison, 335i has direct at 5th.
