Nope the anniversary credit would be considered the "drive event" credit they're doing this month I believe. Was just money off I got from the dealer.

Correct, it's just one of the tools (along with higher residuals) in the tool box to move out the rest of the 2015 models.

My broker buddy said that historically the deals evaporate around the time the new models start showing up and then start up again before years end to try to have a strong finish to the year.

Remember that BMW doesn't want to leave money on the table any more than we as individual buyers do. If they can sell 2016s for a couple of months with little to no incentives and lower residuals that's exactly what they will do until they have to start discounting to move the volume of cars they want to in order to hit their goal for the year.

Complete lease noob, but reading up. Does anyone know the 48-month residual value for a 340ix at 10K/year, and money factor, or where I can find that information?

48 month leases rarely make sense, it pushes you outside the factory warranty and even if it were offered it would be a bad deal.

Right now the longest published time for 340xi is 36 months 62% residual.

Thanks VN!
I take it that is for 10K/yr. What is a ballpark cost for Lease Protection and GAP, and are they worth it when leasing?

GAP protection is standard for BMW leases but will not reimburse you for any cap cost reduction, so don't do that. Only pay out of pocket for lease acquisition, first month lease payment and MSDs along with any dealer fees you agree to pay.

I'm not familiar with lease protection but sounds like a poor deal to me. I don't do a lease if I don't have the full amount of all payments up front.

If I hit a financial tough spot I would try to have someone do takeover of the lease.

That is very good price on a 2016 model! I Would just make sure if you are doing a lease that you get base MF and also find out what paperwork/doc fees your dealer charges (if any).

+1.

Without any incentives, your sale price is pretty much spot on invoice. I believe base MF is 0.0013 for July - make sure you put any extra cash on hand towards those MSDs.

Good deal on a 2015 F31?

Should I take it or do ED on a 2016 instead?

2015 328i wagon
Melbourne Red
M Sport
Premium
Technology Package
Cold Weather
Driver Assistance Package
Lighting Package
Auto High Beams
Harman Audio
Side/Top cameras

MSRP: 57020 (they claim 57833 for some reason)

Offer: $50833
+ $195 Doc Service Fee (?? sounds bogus)
+ $103 licensing fee

Total sales price: $51131

If I did my math right this is $1682 below invoice.

2015 MSRP Invoice
Base 41950 39013
Red 550 500
M Sport 3500 3185
Premium 2200 2002
Tech 3150 2866

Beams 250 227
HK Audio 875 796
Top Cams 750 682
Destination 995 995

Total 57020 52813

With similar options on a 2016 ED I would end up at $51053 plus maybe $1k profit for the dealer so roughly $52k

2016 MSRP Invoice(ED)
Base 39715 36934

Destination on the 2015 should be $950. The paperwork fee should cover any "licensing" fees - though I don't even know what licensing fees are. There are registrations and titling fees, but that's its for a purchase.

If you have the time and the patience by all means do the ED. You're probably looking at an Oct Welt pickup if you ordered this week. Depending when/where you drop off the car in Europe you could roughly expect the pickup the car around the holidays or shortly after. We got incredibly lucky and our redelivery only took 5 weeks.

Yeah I'm not in a hurry so waiting for ED is not a problem. Would drop the car off in Bremerhaven as Bremen is my home town. $1682 below invoice seems like a decent deal, then again ED is just so much fun too.

Can you guys rate this deal?

Brand New 328d 2015 Lease

10k miles 24 months
MSRP: $45,230
Selling price after rebates: $38,260
Residual: 71%
Drive-off: $4,000 (include 7 MSDs)
No marked up acq or doc fees to be found here.

Payment: $313 + tx

I'm thinking this is slightly better since TMV pricing on Edmunds puts this car selling price of $40,293 and then I have Drive Team USA for another 1k so coming down to $39,293.

What do you guys think?

Sounds great to me, except the MF appears to be jacked up to .0017 for maximum profit. BMW's current MF is .0013 so on a 24m lease that leaves a margin of about $650-700 there.

I looked at the paperwork and the MF is listed to be discount to .00081.

I don't know about leases, but you might be able to get the selling price down somewhat. While not quite apples-to-apples, I've been getting price quotes on 328ds in the ~$50k MSRP range for $6.5k off. The "d" has an extra $500 eco incentive, but I'd guess that with some not-too-involved haggling you might be able to get them down as much as another couple of thousand. One of the major online buying services shows pricing as $5200 under MSRP for your configuration (and the dealer pays them something as well), though that's in a pretty competitive selling area (the Bay Area). With the end of the month coming up, you might offer them $39.5k or so and see what happens.

Well all I was stressing on the monthly payment number all kind of fees rolled in and that came out to be
550 per month for next 36 months.
As I plan to turn in the car after lease end ,did not care much about the residual or money factor and no security deposit.

Thanks
