ZMT still an option for the 440xi!

This is certainly a fine bit of news indeed as the new jummobile comes due in a few months.

440i Coupe Deal

Down in Ft. Lauderdale. Pushing for this deal but the dealer does not seem interested. Don't seem to be any incentives right now on MY2017 but they are starting to hit the lot. Any body else down here getting a good deal?

Invoice includes the $500. Follow my flow as posted to figure out invoice. $1 more is $1 over invoice.

Tim,

Sorry but I'm a bit confused and would love to see this explained in more detail.

"Base vehicle US MSRP (from pricing sheets below) multiplied by 0.93
+ MACO fee $500.00 (flat rate applied to all dealers)
= Base vehicle US BMW invoice price"

So $48,500 x 0.93 + $500 = $45,605 right?

But you say the $48,500 already includes the MACO so why would I add it again?

Here's what I'm thinking and it involves algebra, sorry.
BMW's Cost = B
Dealer Cost = B + MACO
Customer Cost = Dealer Cost + (Dealer Cost x 7%) = Dealer Cost x (1.07)
So then to calculate the Dealer Cost

Dealer Cost = Customer Cost / 1.07

So really to arrive at the Dealer Cost I would take the MSRP and divide 1.07
440i Coupe @ 48,500 Dealer Cost = 48,500/1.07 = 45,327.10

To check these calculations:

So B = Dealer Cost - 500 or 45,327.10 500 = 44,827.10

Dealer Cost = 44,827.10 + 500 = 45,327.10
7% Mark Up = 45,327.10 x 0.07 = 3172.90
So customer cost = 45327.10 + 3172.90

************************************************** ***
TLDR; to figure the Dealer's Cost which I guess you are calling
Invoice

Invoice = MSRP/1.07

BMW MSRP and BMW Invoice both include MACO. What you're getting confused is that you add MACO to the percentage calculation and you feel it is therefore an add on. It is not an add on, it is part of the invoice price. Remember this is a calculation to get to invoice.

MSRP x .93 + 500 = Invoice

Without the $500 your calculated price is $500 less than the invoice price that dealerships are paying.

Lets do one together for a 440i Coupe. The MSRP is $48,500.

$48,500 x .93 + $500 = $45,605

Invoice for a 440i coupe is probably $45,600.

Thanks Tim. Then I guess my earlier calculations were ok, just my terminology was at issue.
Using your calculated invoice and taking 0.92 for all the add-ons and allowing for the training of $180 I get the following.

440i Coupe________________________________ INVOICE
1. Invoice Price____________________________45605
2. Mineral Gray Metalic________________________644
3. Leather Dakota Daddle Brown ex. Stitch_______1334
4. Driver Assistance Package ZDA_______________874
5. Driver Assistance PlusZ ZDB_________________1564
6. Luxury Package ZPL__________________________0
7. Technology Package ZTP ___________________2530
8. Power Sunshade 415________________________322
9. Destination and Handling ____________________995
10. Training__________________________________180

Your in florida right? I have read that florida dealers charge a doc fee on every deal that is between 699-899 and wont negotiate on it, so even if you got a car at invoice from a florida dealer, it would be at least 699 over invoice. You might want to consider leaving the state to purchase your car as from what people say florida is not competitive at all.

440i In Florida

Yes, I'm in So. Florida. I'm trying to get about Invoice + 1200 and having issues so I've considered going out of state. Any suggestions in GA, NC, or SC? Or should I just start shopping my offer over the internet and see who bites? Since I'm ordering do I give up bargaining ground? Do I save if I pick it up at the port? Can I pick it up at the Spartanburg Performance Center and save delivery?

If you are willing to go to GA, you should contact bimmerfest sponsor Adrian Avila at Gwinnett BMW. Very highly regarded by 'festers. Tell him you are coming from Bimmerfest, give him your configuration, and ask him what he can do for you.

You will probably have a MUCH better experience going through him than someone local in florida (enough to make it worth the drive). Also , if you are willing to go to South Carolina, you could pick up at the performance center (Performance center delivery) which means you could order from anyone in the country.. including the generally VERY competitive dealers here in California.

If you are willing to do PCD (which I hear is an experience), you could also try Greg Poland from PacificBMW in California (also a 'Fest sponsor). Either one of them will take good care of you and let you know what they can and cant do without much hassle (and you wont pay that rediculous florida doc fee).

Almost fully-loaded F36 440i xDrive M-Sport (only options I didn't get were Driver Assistance Plus and the wireless charger/Apple Car****) in EBII with Individual Golden Brown full leather interior, BMW Portland. I'm not going to share my CA's name or the price I got, out of respect for the guy. Suffice to say, it was a good deal.

As Technic would say - anything is possible through Individual, given enough time and money.

I am going to replace my 2011 528i with a 2017 BMW 430xi Grand Coupe(5 door) here as we need the hatchback and want a bit smaller vehicle. I felt the 3 series wasn't quite as nice, equally equipped inside but it is a bit lower so I would need to move up the seats. ANy comments, suggestions, etc before I get down to dealing with local dealer? I want the 6 cylinder of course. Thanks
