OK, it's about time. I have a 2001 BMW 530 NON-Sport and had enough of the standard wheel rims.
I do like the Sport Package Option Rim Version and wanted to find out where is the best place to get these with new rims & tires and installed (I guess I can always check with my local dealership who will charge me an arm and a leg).
Any idea on how much this will cost and where to go to get there items?

If you want the real thing, often people sell their used sets online (classifieds, ebay, etc) for much cheaper than buying new from the dealer. If you want something similar, Rondell makes a nice alternative for much less than the OEM. They're not 2-piece like the OEM, but have a nice, deep lip. You can probably get a wheel/tire package for a little more than what you'd pay for wheels alone from the dealer.
For my money, I'd go with something that's easier to clean. The basketweave style of the OEM sport wheels is very nice to look at, but when they need to be cleaned every few days, or once a week when you wash, you're looking at a major time investment for cleaning. I spent 3 years going though this every week , spending 30-40 minutes a week cleaning my Style 5's (1999 528i). When I got my '02, I had the wheels/tires ordered before I even took delivery of the car. Now I spend a couple minutes a wheel, max.
Are you going to plus 1, or plus 2? If so, you'll probably see an excessive gap between the wheel well and your tire without the lowered stance of the sport suspension. Going with 17" may not be too bad though.

I have '02 530i sport package.
The sport package Style 42, are 2- piece composite rims and are some of the best designed and best looking wheels out there, regardless of price.
They are MUCH easier to clean and maintain than PRE-2001 sport wheels, it usually takes me about 1-2 mins for each wheel.
Someone on a different thread just sold 4 of his Style 42 wheels, including the tires for $1300. (they reatail for $547 or so each)
I haven't decided to sell mine yet, but may do so if the price is right. The tires on them have about 6K miles.

Hey JVR530i thanks for the good info. I hear you on the cleaning of wheels. Anything with that many spokes is going to be a chore of a cleaning! I thought the Premium Package or NON-Sport Package already had 17s on higher profile tires, but I'll check again. I would like to stick with or go with at least 17's and believe with BMW's already low stance, the sport rims would still look nice.
The current stock rims on a 2001 530i are nice, but they just don't bring out how good this car really looks. The 530i sports package rims with thickner tires, do make the care more majestic.

Thanks for the offer and I'll see where I will go with this. Where are you located by the way? NJ here and just trying to figure out if I go this route the shipping charges.
Most people who sell their Style 42 wheels only do so in groups of four. If you also want a matching spare, I have a friend in NJ who is selling his. He replaced his Style 42 wheels with Style 66M and decided to replace ALL of the them. So he has an extra wheel & tire available. I think he's asking $300.
You can reach him at dyuk@optonline.net. If I recall, the wheel is perfect with no curb rash and the tire is partially used. I think he had a flat on a front tire and swapped it with his spare. Then later got the tire patched. So the tire isn't brand new. The second photo gives an idea of how much tread is remaining.
You can contact him for details.
If I hear of anyone else selling their Style 42 rims, I'll be sure to let you know. If you decide to buy them new, your best bet is Pacific BMW who sells them for $416 each for the 17x8" size. You can also get them staggered with the 17x9" wider rear wheel priced at $468. And they come in 18x8" and 18x9" sizes too, priced at $500 and $535 respectively.

I'm in PA, so you'll be able to pick them up locally. If I decide to sell I will sell all 5 with tires on.
BTW, went for a ride today and ended up at a wonderful little restaurant near Point Pleasant Beach, NJ.
I sold my Style 66 to get a set of original Style 37 M Parallel Forged Machined wheels. The best price I found for new OEM BMW wheels was from Chapman BMW in Scottsdale. They have a seperate site for wheel sales: http://bmwwheels.com/bmwwheels.asp. If you want cast replicas http://bmwwheels.com/bmwwheels.asp has the best I believe.
