i wanan see how the drop looks like thanx alot
There are no performance gains with such mod.isaacly said:whats wrong with 19's and drop?
It would be far easier to list what's right with 19's and drop. Here's the list:isaacly said:whats wrong with 19's and drop?
Is your penis really so small that you have to drop a few thou on some mods that HARM your vehicles performance just to achieve a certain look that some people think is cool? If so, stick with stickers. They're cheaper and easier to undo when your lease is up.isaacly said:whats wrong with 19's and drop?
wouldn't you have to know what kind of wheels he's talking about?Emission said:

The wheels are HEAVIER than stock and will gain you no increase in handling. Your car will accelerate SLOWER.
how about if he thinks it's cool?TD said:

You just like to argue.atyclb said:

probably trueTD said:

Anything is theoretically possible, but I doubt it. Not knowing him specifically, I would bet that no one out there would think these mods are cool on their own. I suspect it takes that whole peer approval thing to motivate one to do something this pointless.

probably true
but the CSL *will* come with 19's and a drop
And I will still insist that even 18s are strictly about //Marketing. 19s are silly. Unless, as Nate pointed out, they are needed to clear the brakes.atyclb said:

I wonder if they're still lighter than your 16's?nate328Ci said:

Doesn't it need 19s to clear the brakes?
My 16s are lighter than the 19s currently sold on E46 M3s, maybe the CSL wheels are lighter :dunno:atyclb said:

It certainly isn't slammed, you're rightTD said:

But at least I am quite sure that they will be some of the lightest forged 19s out there, unlike the rims much of the Bling Bling Crowd buys. And I doubt the drop will be as pronounced.
But the CSL is also not really intended to be a street car. And, therefore, regular drivability is not as much of a concern to BMW.
not like this then?TD said:

The CSL's are definitely lighter than the regular 19's. They are made by BBS and are a magnesium something or othernate328Ci said:

And, the brakes seem to fill out the 19s well.
btw, I love those rims...
good, TD approves of my plan to buy 19's and lower my car! I've tricked him! YAY!!!!TD said:Actually, these two pics illustrate the distinction very well.
The M3 CSL looks very tasteful (and, IMO, is damn attractive) but the Bling Bling Crowd entry just looks stupid. It's trying to hard and, like anyone trying to hard, looks pathetic.
Those would look fantastic on your car :thumbup:atyclb said:

Maybe so, but this place still doesn't have near the mix of people or the daily throughput of other boards. Signal to noise is way off here as well.atyclb said:
