Where Are You Going Next?

On the way to Seattle now, then Texas on Thursday for more boring work stuff.

However, heading back to London in June and am shortly going to book a July getaway to Maine.

Headed to Germany in a few weeks for a business trip...then taking two days for the Ring, down to Stuttgart and Zurich for a few, then London for 5 days. With my 22 yo son. Should be a blast.

Summer is here and student travel is in the plans again: Tomorrow we fly over to London with 10 teenagers to begin a ten day trip through southern UK, Normandy beaches, Paris and ending in Amsterdam. Then back to the East Coast for two days before taking a much bigger group of 47 back over the ocean to begin two weeks in Italy. Here's hoping the temperatures stay in the 70's for the next few weeks.

Spent a week in London with my two Brothers, my Sister and her husband in Oct. Enjoyed playing tour guide.

Right now prepping for my annual relocation to Steamboat Springs for the ski season via my trusty X3.

Cheers

Had a quick trip to EU with a 2 hr meeting in London. Spent a day hanging out and did a bit of a road trip to Stonehenge- in 15+ trips over the years, Id never seen it. Interesting. Mixture of snow and rain with 40mph gusts... I had thermals and goretex...the Japanese tourists in miniskirts and boots were, shall we say, challenged.

Separate trip right now on an AA transcon in F, JFK to LAX. First time on their new 32B three class. Very nice for domestic. Not the same as the 77W F, but actually right in the middle between biz and first on the intl 77W three class.

Probably shoulda posted this before going, but whatever...

Just got back from 3 weeks in the Aegean. A week in Istanbul (amazing...amazing...amazing), 10 day cruise, and a day in Athens.

Would go back to:
  • Istanbul
  • Kusadasi (Ephasus)
  • Rhodes
  • Crete
  • Santorini
  • Mykanos

Would not go back to:
  • Patmos
  • Dikili (Pergamum was amazing; saw everything to see)
  • Lesvos
  • Kavala
  • Kepez (Troy and Gallipoli was amazing; saw everything to see)

Neutral on Athens.

Spent a month in Australia.... Id made 16 or so business trips there over the years, first vacation there.

longest vacation of my life, and it was amazing. Sydney, Blue Mountains, Adelaide/Kangaroo Island, Uluru, Kata Tjuta, Kings Canyon, Alice Springs, Cairns, Great Barrier Reef, Cooktown/Daintree.... just an amazing country.

Had planned the trip for over a year- first step was two Qantas First Class award seats down and back, then build off of that. Those puppies were snagged in the first hours after release at day 353 in advance.... free advice to anyone that needs it. QF First was quite impressive....

Next week back to the usual- A trip to the east coast, two weeks later a trip to Chicago, then a trip to Philly in June..... Ho hum.

We got back from a 3 week trip to NZ and AUS on April 7th. Melbourne, Sydney and Cairns in Aus. Auckland, Christchurch and Queenstown in NZ. Both countries were amazing.

Off to Italy in two weeks.

Florence, Tuscany, and then Amalfi Coast, and then Rome.

Keeping it simple, and hoping not to gain too much weight.
