330 Cic A VIRGIN NO MORE!

Dear friends, Today is a day I will never forget. I was in the drive through of our local Starbucks, waiting for a Cap. The guy in the old Pontiac POS behind me bends down for change and his foot slips off his brakes and WHAM! he rear ends me.

My baby's first scratch. The shock has worn off and all you can see is 2 dents in the plastic, hard to see, and a third spot where the plastic was kicked up. I asked the starbucks girls if she has seen this before and she said it happens all the time.

Lets be careful out there!

That happened to me on the expressway in stop and go traffic last July, two weeks after I got my car. WHAM, out of nowhere. $444 fixup. Then again in the winter, WHAM only this time it was 10k worth of damage. So that lovely car is gone (traded in while there was something left on it).

Yesterday in my new Subaru a girl backs into me so she could try and get a parking spot (handicapped) next to her (she isn't handicapped, except for her braces). Just a little dimple in the front tbumper. I've had that car two weeks. I've really stopped caring. Even a $40,000 car is an appliance. As much as you love your car and clay bar it etc...you're always two ticks from getting the s**t smashed outta you. Yeah, I guess I'm bitter, my wife put my wash mitt at the bottom of a scuzzy bucket yesterday so I threw it out.

You missed the point of driving a BMW. You park IN FRONT of the Starbucks so that the cute Starbucks girls (err, women) see you step out of your finely-made German automobile and see you for the pimp ( ) that you are.
Doing so gives you the ability of doing some rear-ending of your own (should you so be inclined to do).

Hmmm.... You should have gone for an M3 and no Starbucks for the same price. You would be way ahead at this point.

not that theres anything wrong with that

Yes, we could make this into a sitcom and make millions....a whole show about getting coffee at Starbucks.

After getting my first ding I can drive my car all over and have fun for once. I was so careful but you can't stop the idiots on the road that don't care about other people's property.

Her first time...

Picture this:

2005 330CiC... not even 1 week old...
Parked in the garage...
Walked by with weed-eater over shoulder.... being very careful not to hit the car
Hit the SHOVEL that was hanging on the wall instead...
Bang... the shovel came down and put a 1" dent in the door...
I turned around to see what had happened... (mainly because my wife screamed)
and I wacked the front fender with the weed-eater....
putting another scratch in the fender....

I couldn't take it... It's now 3 weeks old... it's in the shop today getting the dent and scratch fixed... for just over $500.

Ouch.

Ouch!!! My wife couldn't contain her giggles at your bad luck - the fact that this is your first ever post means that at least you have a great sense of humour and belong here! Welcome aboard pkopp!

How many people have de-virginized their BMW? I'm not talking accidents. :-)

I have several times in the back and in the front passenger seat. It's a challenge that's for sure. :-) Cops even came by twice and actually had the nerve to ask my girlfriend if she was there voluntarily! Thank goodness she said yes! Both times! haha
