Trying to find the name of an 80s song... bear with me here...

It is a catchy tune that has the line "I am the captain" or "I am your captain" or something with captains!

I know that is probably *totally* useless in finding the song name, but if you have some ideas, I'd love to hear them. It's DEFINATELY 80s though, not 70s or 90s, so please keep that in mind.

Throw out some names if you can think of anything... I'll look up the lyrics to verify

Probably Grand Funk Railroad, "I'm Your Captain".. hmm that is '70 though.

No, it's *not* a 70s song. I specifically said that I just downloaded a piece of it, and that's definately not it. It was by the soul of its character -- an 80s song.

It has the "Human League" type of sound... I don't think it's HL, but it sounds like their type of music. More new ageish? Not sure exactly.. this is what I've been wracking my brain over !!

Do you remember which radio station? You might check to see if that radio station posts their playlists on their web site? If they do and you they go back a few weeks, you could try to find the artists/titles being played and then hunt those down.

It's a male singer, I think probably categorized under 'pop' though I couldn't be 100%. It's definately not R&B or anything... it's an upbeat song like Bizzare Love Triangle or somethin That's not the song of course, but I'm just tossing ideas out as I think of them.

Man I havent thought about that song in a long time....I really like that tune.
