Yeah, how do the recalls work? Is there a certain time limit in which the dealer will repair the issues?

I think Alldata pulled all the BMW TSB info from their site. I tried to pull up the list but, no joy.
The dealer will not fix them for free, it just gives them a proven fix for a known problem.

A) They don't mean anything to you, you can't do anything with these recalls as they're way old.

B) Yeah, help would be called searching and reading everything you can, starting with "How To Ask Smart Questions" on the main page.

Wrong thread for this dude. Go make a thread or bump one that's related to the topic. Like I said, READ THE "HOW TO ASK SMART QUESTIONS" sticky before you post any more. If you're new to forums which it seems you are, go read up on how to use forums as well.

If you read the thread I referenced, you'd know. It's simple - you're posting completely off the topic of the thread. You need to go find a similar thread to the problem you're experiencing, or if necessary start a new thread. It's not complicated.

So here's an idea.....on or about 4/1 we repost the list of E36 recalls with a notice that if you take the list to your local BMW dealer along with your E36, they'll fix all of the issues for free. Nobody would get anything fixed but it could be fun to watch!

Eff that. If BMW made recalls on parts they should still honor the recall if it hasnt been fixed yet. I used to have a 1989 nissan 240sx and someone posted the recalls for that.
So... I took my car in later that week and sure enough even after 19 years they special ordered and fixed the parts for the recalls I brought up. FOR FREE. Just like I told em.
They did however say "well we also noticed you have a small coolant leak and this and this and this and that.. want us to fix those?"
I said um.... no. printed up my reciept and walked out with new dealer installed parts with a ticket that read $0.

The point is, if there was a big enough problem to issue a recall on parts especially ones like these:

720796 DEC 96 Recall - Restraint System Labels/Warnings
320296 AUG 96 Recall - Airbag Contact Ring
3203944074 OCT 94 Recall - Occupant Crash Protection

they are still problems today if they havent been fixed. I would guess you could go in and get these things fixed at no charge.
Just go in and tell them about the recalls, make them look it up, and ask them if its gonna cost you anything. If they say yes, walk away. simple as that.

EDIT: Holy christ. Just saw the original post date.... Talk about revival from the dead. jesus

OK dude, you go try that. Hell, manufacturers aren't even held responsible to begin recalls on cars older than 10 years old even if a brand new major problem is discovered. They're not gonna perform a recall the owner at the time should have brought it in for when they were notified.

Usually anything with the SRS they'll fix it as long as the car is still on the road and they can still get the parts, particularly if it was part of a consent agreement with the NHTSA. CAT convertor and the emissions control computer are 7 years mandatory warranty by federal law. Anything else is open unless there is a class action suit that's been settled on it and then those typically have a limited period for action.
